The SPRFMO Secretariat is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Compliance Manager and Science Manager, in accordance with Article 14 of the Convention and Staff Regulation 2.
Mr Andrew Wright has been appointed as SPRFMO Compliance Manager. Mr Wright will be well known to many delegates through his four-year tenure as Chairperson of the Compliance and Technical Committee (CTC). He brings over 20 years of experience in fisheries compliance and enforcement, including representing New Zealand in several regional fisheries bodies and FAO processes. His extensive expertise and strong understanding of the needs of Members and Commission bodies will be valuable to the Secretariat’s work.
Ms Jessica Fuller has been appointed as SPRFMO Science Manager. Ms Fuller is a science coordination and governance specialist currently working with WorldFish in Malaysia. She has more than a decade of experience in fisheries governance, scientific coordination, and international marine policy, including ten years supporting FAO and regional fisheries bodies. She holds a PhD from the University of Bergen (Norway) and completed her earlier studies in the United States.
